Artist Ben Jordan

Artist Ben Jordan

To get my own creative juices flowing I research other artists. Then I get depressed because I want to do what they do and I’m just not that good yet.

In the newest issue of Ceramics Monthly, they have a list of 2018 Emerging Artists.

As I was going through the artists, Ben Jordan’s art caught my eye! What caught my eye were the deep browns—or maybe that is more reddish brown—the blacks and the bone colors that he chose and how he applied them.

I’m really having a hard time expressing myself. But his pieces really moved me. The detail is just awesome and I want to be like him when I grow up.

Check out his pieces for yourself at

Happy Clay!

“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit” — Aristotle (384 BC – 322 BC) Greek Philosopher
